The tour will start from the hotel to cross the Arno river and the artisan district of San Niccolò to enter in the Bardini Garden, considered a precious green jewel within the city center and the best view point over the city.
Crossing the Bardini garden we will reach the ancient city walls to pass by the majestic fortress called Forte Belvedere to enter the Boboli garden.
Boboli is the biggest Baroque park within the ancient walls and house several small treasurers we can visit: the Porcelain museum and most of all the Silver museum, housing the precious semiprecious vases and the jewels of the Medici Grandukes, beyond an overwhelming Baroque frescoed decoration.

The painter-monk Beato Angelico lived here. He was the promoter of a new conception of the art, between the gothic and the renaissance style.
Lorenzo il Magnifico came here to study into the big library, as before him, Cosimo the Elder, and then Marsilio Ficino, Agnolo Poliziano and the most important patrons of the Renaissance.
Savonarola, a very uncompromising domenican monk that obtained the power in Florence in the XVth century and that was so important for our story, lived here. Inside the museums we’ll see severals monk’s cells.
