Peter is a longtime enthusiast of open source software, based in Dublin, Ireland. He is one of the founding members of the Irish PostgreSQL user group (ie-pug).
Peter's skills include C, C++ and Python application development, PostgreSQL database administration, and Linux system administration. He has contributed to PostgreSQL satellite projects, including pgAdmin and libpqxx, and works as a consultant for 2ndQuadrant.
Peter has been a user of Linux since the age of 14, when he installed the long-since defunct Corel Linux, a copy of which was cover mounted on a magazine. His other interests include current affairs and hiking.
